Happy Friday Year 3,

We have reached the end of another week. Wow! Only one more week until the end of this school year. It has been a very strange year and I am looking forward to September when we can get back into 'normal' school life.

Hopefully we are going to have some nice weather this weekend, I am hoping to have a BBQ this weekend with my boys. I hope that you have a lovely weekend and I will speak to you next week.

Love from

Mrs Martin

It's Friday!

I hope you've all had a lovely week. It seems to have flown by! One more week until the Summer holidays! Where has the school year gone?

We were really busy in school yesterday, doing LOTS and LOTS of planning to prepare for September. Mrs Martin and I spent our day planning Guided Reading and Maths for September, whilst Miss Anwar was busy in the Green Room with the Key Worker children. It's definitely been a busy week overall.

What have you been up to?

This weekend, my brother is moving back to Leeds to be back for when his University course returns in September. It will be so strange to not have him around ( but it will definitely be a lot quieter!)

I am also visiting my grandparents this weekend, so it will be lovely, relaxing time.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend.

Today's maths activity focuses on ordering numbers. Remember, think carefully about how to order numbers. Which value do you look at first?

Here is a reading activity called 'Baby bear in Fairytale Land'. Read the text and then answer the questions.

Yesterday, you thought of some ideas for a fantasy animal that you befriended on your adventure through the Island. The animal will now become your companion. Today, you need to use your planning sheet to write your ideas into sentences. Remember to write in the first person and in the past tense.

Here is an example to help you:

Out of nowhere, leaped a colourful jaguar. I blinked several times as I could not believe my eyes. My legs began to shake as I thought that I was going to be attacked. The jaguar circled me several times; each time it got closer and flashed its razor sharp teeth at me. It inched closer and closer and before I knew it, it wrapped itself around my legs and rubbed its head against me for comfort. Any fear soon disappeared and I stroked its thick fur and scratched its soft, fleshy ears.
