Friday 22nd May

Good morning 5G

Yesterday, I had another lovely afternoon working in the garden. I have read more of the book which is really very good, hopefully I will finish it over the weekend. It is a bank holiday weekend so hopefully the weather will stay nice for us all. It's half term which means I will not be setting any work next week. If you get bored, I have added some extra activities to the folders. There is a Boredom Buster Folder, which has lots of craft and small activities. I have also added some easy experiments to the Science folder, which you will enjoy. I will start the Daily tasks again on Monday 1st June, if you need anything in the holidays you can still email and I will check them daily and get back to you.

Today's Maths is the White Rose Hub family challenge.

Summer Term - Week 5 (w/c 18th May) - Friday Maths Challenge.

I am also attaching some time problem solving work sheets, it is one of those topics that we all need a regular refresh on. Have a go and see how you do. BBC Bitesize has lots of time information if you need it.

For Guided Reading, we have an extract from Billionaire Boy. If you haven't read this book it is very good, I would definitely recommend it.
The English task today is a Newspaper Article. I want you to write an article about you being the winner of the Lottery. There are hints and tips and a WAGOLL to give you some inspiration.
Many of you will be celebrating Eid this weekend, so I am attaching a second lesson to follow on from the RE lesson set earlier in the week. If you are celebrating I hope you and your families have a fantastic time.
Finally, we are going to look at learning for life lesson about being News Wise. This is particularly important at the moment when there are lots of News stories out there that may worry us and we need to decide which ones to believe or not. There are activities to do as you work through the booklet. You do not need to print it all off, just read the information and do the tasks on paper.

Over the holidays, don't forget to keep reading. If you get bored have a look in the folders and try some of the additional activities there. Or if you missed any previous daily tasks you can go back and look at them.

Most importantly, make sure you take time to relax and spend time with your families. Stay safe and have fun.
