Monday 11th May

Good Morning 3/4M

I hope you have all had a super weekend. I have had a lovely time and really enjoyed the sunshine. We had two BBQ's, one on Friday and one on Saturday. Mr Martin is getting really good now.

We also went to a little stream near us during our daily walks and Barney and Jacob enjoyed paddling.

Let me know what you have been doing this weekend. It really does brighten my day when I receive your emails and photos. I can put some more photos on our website, as long as your grown ups give permission.

Please see today's work below. We can do this 3/4M.

Reading:

I have attached a reading comprehension activity today related to a newspaper article. Read the article and then fill in the table to demonstrate your understanding of the text.

Reading Comprension

SPAG:

As it is Monday it is spelling test day. Ask a grown up to test you on last weeks spellings. I have attached this weeks spellings and definitions list for you to learn.

For our grammar activity, I would like you to create some sentences using different connectives. I have attached a sheet to get you started. But my challenge is to see who can create some sentences of their own using the connectives on the sheet.

Maths:

We are continuing with White Rose. You will not be able to print the worksheets from the website today but don't worry because I have attached them below.

Year 3: Multiplying by 4 and 8

Year 4: Multiplying and  Dividing Problem Solving

Also make sure you do 30 minutes of TT Rockstars. This will really make a difference with your work in class when you come back to school. Some of you are doing AMAZING at the moment.

Take a break for lunch and do something that you enjoy to relax. I have spent time colouring in my adult colouring book over the last few weeks. I find that this relaxes me.

I am trying my best to eat healthy food at the moment too and I am drinking lots of sparkling water (and only a bit of diet coke!!!)

After lunch, I have a Learning for Life task for you based on family and people who are important to us. Also how we feel when we are unable to see our loved ones. This may be the case for some of you at the moment as you may not be able to see grandparents or other close family members.

Art:

I have also added a document which I found that has some really nice ideas for art activities at home. Why not try a couple of these this week? I would love to see some photos of your finished work.

Home Art Ideas

Make sure that you fit in 30 minutes of physical activity today. Why not try one of the playground games in the pack I sent last week.

Or how about starting your day with Joe Wicks.

A healthy body helps us to keep a healthy mind.

Positive thought for the day:

Have a great Monday. Speak to you tomorrow.

Love Mrs Martin
