Good morning 5/6AA. Well, it's the beginning of week 6 of home learning. I hope you all enjoyed the bank holiday. The weather was glorious which makes a change from the rainy bank holidays that we usually have. Did you celebrate VE day? What did you do to celebrate? We have a full week of learning this week, so here are your tasks for today:
Click here to go to the BBC Bitesize website Maths lesson for today. It is all about calculating the area of shapes. Follow the instructions. There are three videos to watch, an interactive activity and a worksheet to complete. You can access the worksheet from the website or you can click on the file below.
This week you will be writing a science fiction story, so your reading tasks also have a sci-fi theme. Click on the file below to get your reading task. Read the story about Sammy and the Alien and then answer the questions. The answers are at the end, so you can check your work.
You have the whole of this week to write your sci-fi story. Read the instructions on the English Writing Task file first. Then have a look at the WAGOLL to give you some ideas. Then you are ready to start planning your story.
