Monday 11th May 2020

Good morning 4A,

I hope you are all well and have had a lovely bank holiday weekend. We've had some really nice weather and I hope you have been able to make the most of it.

I have had a brain break from teacher work and spent most of my time in the garden. I have been keeping myself busy with cross stitching a version of "Starry Night" - a very famous Van Gogh painting. We were taught how to cross stitch in primary school and it is a shame that sewing doesn't really get taught today.

Here is what I have done so far:

It is slowly coming together but I have still got a lot to do.

What have you been up to?

Take care x

PE

Start your day off by doing some sort of PE - it can be following a Joe Wickes workout https://www.youtube.com/thebodycoachtv or you can do something else - skipping, running, riding your bike, hopscotch, football, anything!

Maths

Please note: White Rose Maths are now operating on a subscription only basis - you will only be able to access the video tutorials on the site; you will not be able to access the worksheets or answers on the site.

Please do not worry - our school has a subscription to White Rose Maths and I will upload the worksheets and answers here every day.

Today's lesson will be

Lesson 1 - Multiplying and dividing problem solving

  • Watch the video tutorial.
  • Complete the worksheet
  • Self-mark your answers.

SPaG

Have a go at this correct the spelling activity based on the Year 3/4 statutory spellings. I have attached the answers too so you can mark them.

I have a Learning for Life task for you based on family and people who are important to us. Also how we feel when we are unable to see our loved ones. This may be the case for some of you at the moment as you may not be able to see grandparents or other close family members.

Home Art Ideas

I have also added a document which I found that has some really nice ideas for art activities at home. Why not try a couple of these this week? I would love to see some photos of your finished work.
