Monday 18th May 2020

Happy Monday everyone!

Miss North: I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Let me know what you have all been up to by email, I would love to know! This weekend, we did another family quiz over FaceTime, which was lovely, and I went on some more long walks. These are lovely to clear you mind and feel relaxed. But it's now back to one more week of learning before half-term.

Mrs Buttery: Good morning! How was your weekend? I have spent mine playing with George and going for family walks in the wood which is just at the end of my garden. George likes to pretend that he's hunting for the Gruffalo while we walk. He is very cute!

Here is today's work. Scroll down to see your daily afternoon work. Make sure that you click your groups folder to do the correct work.

If you work with Miss Johnson, please use the work from the folder below:

This week's Learning for Life lesson focuses on sleep. You will be looking at why sleep is important for a healthy lifestyle, how bedtime routines help sleep and identifying how our sleep patterns and needs might change as we grow up.

I have attached the PowerPoint and the activities below.

Song of the day

Move-it Monday

What better way to start the week and to get your brain and body in gear for learning? This song is great for general alertness and is good fun to sing! It is called the 'Coordination Funk'.

Remember to stay active each day as well. How many sit ups or star jumps can you do? Can you run on the spot for 2 minutes? Why not choose some exercises and do them every day, seeing if you can build your strength and stamina.

See below for some ideas:

  • Sit ups
  • Press ups
  • Star Jumps
  • Burpees
  • Jogging on the spot

Have a good day, keep smiling and we'll speak tomorrow.

Love from Miss North and Mrs Buttery
