Good morning 1S!
I’m very excited to be back! I know you will continue to impress me and work hard.
It's a very special time for many of our families who are preparing to start Ramadan this week. Our RE work is linked to this.
Did you keep up with Joe Wicks during the Easter holidays? I did do it every day although it might not have been at 9am! Here is the link again:
Here are some activities to complete today:
Please complete your spelling test. Use the spelling sheet that is labelled 'Test Date Monday 20th April 2020' in the ‘Spellings’ folder. Maybe an older sibling could test you? Once you have done this, please practise your letter formation.
Have a look at next week's spellings, these are saved in the 'Spellings' folder as ‘Spellings 20.04.20’.
Phase 5 Tricky Word Trucks. You will need to log in to access this game.
Click ‘Phase 5a Tricky Words’.
Shout out the Phase 5 Tricky Words and ask someone to press the green tick if you said it correctly.
Start each day with a page from the Flashbacks. They're saved in the ‘Maths’ Folder. Remember, this will consolidate what we have already learnt! You should be on Week 3 Day 1 today. Did you get 4/4 correct? There is also a Flashback at the start of your learning video, you can complete this too.
Warm up: Can you find 1 more and 1 less than given numbers to 100?

4) Click 'Get the answers'. Can somebody mark this for you?
Here is a problem to finish with:
Say hello to Bob! I'd like you to study this picture of Bob in his house, look carefully at all of the picture. Write a list of what you think Bob’s hobbies might be. Remember to use bullet points.
Write some questions that you would like to ask Bob and keep them somewhere safe for tomorrow. Here are some question starters: who, what, why, when, where, how, are, do.
Make sure your capital letters at the start are really clear. Have you used a question mark at the end of each question?
I'm sure you are ready for some lunch now!
Here's today's Guided Reading Text and questions. Read the text to yourself and to a grown up or older sibling.
This week is very special for many of our children as Ramadan will start by the end of the week. We are going to look at what Ramadan is and why Muslims celebrate it.
Please watch the following video and read through the PowerPoint: https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/23286976
Please complete this activity:
If you would like to do some more work on Ramadan, here is an activity booklet. I will upload it each day this week:
Have a brilliant day!
