Monday 27th April
I hope you have had a lovely weekend and have spent time relaxing. I had a great time in my garden enjoying the sunshine. We had a BBQ on Saturday night. I have attached a picture of Mr Martin hard at work. We also went out for a lovely walk near our house and Jacob and Barney enjoyed paddling in a river that we discovered on the way.
I hope that this nice weather continues, as it does make it easier to spend so much time at home if the sun is shining.
Please let me know what you have been up to this weekend. I really do like to receive your emails and photos, they brighten up my days. I am getting fed up of working in my kitchen, so seeing your smiling faces really helps.
Please see below for today's work.
I have attached 2 reading tasks today. One Year 3 and one Year 4.
I would like you to all have a go at both tasks as they are quite short.
Year 3 - Classroom Secrets - Football Player Profiles.
Year 4 - Classroom Secrets - UFO
Click on the link, read the text and answer the questions online. Answers will be provided.
As it is Monday, you need to ask your grown ups to test you on the spellings that I set last week (Monday 20th April).
I have attached this weeks spellings and definitions to learn below.
Inverted Commas Activity
As usual we are using White Rose for our maths. Click on the links to access the lessons and worksheets. Remember only look at the answers after you have completed the work.
Year 3 - Lesson 1 - Add Fractions
Year 4 - Lesson 1 - Round Decimals
In addition to this, please spend at least 30 minutes on TT Rockstars.
Take a break for lunch and do something to relax.
After lunch, I would like you to do some art today. Watch the video demonstrating how to create a self portrait, then have a go yourself. You could even have a go at drawing someone else in your family.
In addition to this, I would like you to do some PE today. You choose whatever activity you prefer - Joe Wicks, dancing, football, running or anything that you can do in your house or garden. I would love to see some of your exercise videos. Mr Raven Hill set a challenge on Friday asking children to send in videos of them doing something active.
