Buongiorno! That is 'Good morning!' in Italian! laugh

 

I hope you have had a nice and relaxing weekend. What activities did you get up to? Like I said, I had a big Spring clean and made sure that everywhere was sparkling clean! I also went on two really long walks- two hours each! How many hours is that altogether? I also facetimed my friends and family. On Sunday we also baked some butterfly bunscheeky- yum! Did you manage to create a rainbow to put in your window? Maybe you could take a photo and show me when we are back to school!

 

We are going into our second week of home learning and I really am missing you all 1S. Please continue to work hard and show your parents how amazing you are!

Here are some activities for you to complete today:

 

Spellings

Please complete your spelling test. Use the spelling sheet that is labelled 'Test Date Monday 30th March 2020'. Maybe an older sibling could test you? Once you have done this, please practise your letter formation. Have a look at next week's spellings, these are saved in the 'Spellings' folder as ‘Spellings 30.03.20’.

Phonics

Click ‘Phase 5’. Segment and blend the words and decide if they are real on nonsense- you know whether they need to go in the treasure chest or the bin!

Maths

Start each day with a page from the Flashbacks. They're saved in the 'Maths' Folder. Remember, this will consolidate what we have already learnt! You should be on Week 2 Day 1 today. Did you get 4/4 correct?  

 

Warm up: Can you do 20 jumps, then 30 hops? How many is that altogether?

This week we are going to be writing diary entries about what we are doing this week.

 

First, we need to look at why diaries are written and the features of diary entries. Diaries are used to record the events of the day with the feelings, thoughts and opinions (what we think about what has happened) that go with the events.

 

A very famous diary was written by a little girl called Anne Frank who was hiding in an attic and couldn’t go outside. She was really good at sharing her feelings

Reading

Using the paper pack sent home, read the first part of the text from the story 'The Town Mouse And The Country Mouse’. This is a new story, can you apply your skills to find the answers? Remember, the answers are in the text, you need to carefully reread the text and underline then copy the answers.

Art

After the virtual tour on Friday, Chester Zoo put some wonderful photographs on Facebook. 

The Word document below has a big picture of each animal. I would like you to choose your favourite one to copy. You can draw or paint or use anything else that you have at home- be creative! I would definitely choose the red panda because it is so cute!
