Monday 4th May
I hope you have had a great weekend. I have had a busy weekend. I spent Saturday cleaning our house whilst Mr Martin was busy in the garden and Jacob flitted between helping us both and playing on his Nintendo.
On Sunday, we went for a lovely walk in the countryside near our house and we enjoyed a Sunday lunch together which was lovely.
I hope you all had a super weekend. I know some of your families are fasting at the moment, which is challenging but a time for you to reflect on how lucky we are. I think the Corona virius has made us all reflect and I feel so lucky for all the things that I have, a loving family, a job that I love, and good health, I feel blessed.
I look forward to hearing from more of you this week. Take a look at the class photos page that I have added to this website. If you want to add some pictures send them to me and ask your grown ups to confirm that I can post them. I really do love to recieve your emails.
Please see below for today's work:
Answers for Contractions
Today we are going to log onto classroom secrets and complete the online comprehensions. I had added the links below. As they are short have a go at both the Year 3 and the Year 4.
Today is spelling test day, so please ask your grown ups to test you on the spellings that I set last Monday 27th April.
I have added the spelling and definitions sheet for this week below.
Fronted Adverbial Worksheet
In maths, we are going to continue working on White Rose. Next week it is going to change how we access the worksheets for maths and I will need to add the links to the documents for you. Therefore, I have added them below today so that you can get used to downloading them.
Year 3 - Lesson 1 - Convert Pounds and Pence
Year 4 - Lesson 1 - Multiply 2 digit by 1 digit
Also remember your 30 minutes of TT Rockstars. Your timestables recall should really be improving. I can't wait to test you in class.
Maths Activities and Answers
Take a break for a healthy lunch and spend some time relaxing as you have worked hard this morning.
After lunch I would like you to watch the video on BBC bitesize about the digital revolution. I have then attached a task for you to complete.
The Digital Revolution Task
Make sure that you do some physical activity today. You might go for a walk with your family, play football in your garden or dance to some music. Just make sure you are active as it is good for you body and mind.
Quote of the day:
You'll never be bored when you try something new.
There's really no limit to what you can do.
Love from Mrs Martin
