Good Morning Children and Your Parents.
We hope you are all well and had a lovely weekend break. Did you all manage to do something nice over the weekend? We have been busy planning another exciting week with lots of fantastic activities. We hope you have practiced your spellings from last week. Don’t worry you can all have another practice before we do our test. GOOD LUCK!!
This week's spelling rule is the suffixes -tion and -sion which are quite common. If the suffix is pronounced "ZHun," it will be spelled -sion. However, this ending can also be pronounced "SHun."If the last letter before the noun suffix is l, n, or r, the word will take -sion. There are a few exceptions when these words will take -tion. After letters other than l, n, or r, the -tion suffix is used. It is always pronounced "SHun."
Today’s phonics story is about “The Animal Rescue Centre.” We are learning to read words containing -tion.
Activity 1- Mel is writing a new information leaflet for the rescue centre but she is getting a bit stuck. Can you help her by choosing the correct words to complete the sentences?

This week in guided reading we are going to read a SATs practice paper.
Read the text carefully and fluently then answer the questions.

So far, we have found out that Jesus taught his followers using stories called parables and through sermons. How else do you think Jesus could have taught his followers?
Jesus didn’t just tell people how they should behave, but he showed them too. During his life, Jesus amazed people by the way he treated others and through the miracles he performed.
Read the story of Jesus washing his disciples feet together. Jesus saw doing things for other people as something that was very important and he saw himself as a servant. When was the last time you did something kind for someone else?
Paint a picture of Jesus to show what he taught people throughout his life. This could be done as a picture of Jesus with words around him, as a scene from Jesus’ life, or in any form you wish.
