Pupil Premium

Pupil premium is funding to improve education outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools in England. Evidence shows that disadvantaged children generally face additional challenges in reaching their potential at school and often do not perform as well as other pupils.

Children in receipt of, or who have received in the last 6 years, Statutory Free School Meals (this is different to Universal Infant Free School Meals), children in Local Authority Care for more than one day and those who have been adopted from, or left, Local Authority Care are entitled to Pupil Premium or Pupil Premium Plus Funding.

Children of parents/carers who currently serve in the armed forces are also eligible to receive Service Pupil Premium.
