Thursday 11th June

Morning all.

Not a lot happened in the Raven-Hill household last night. We had a lazy evening, watching tv and Seth watched far too much Ipad. We try and limit this as much as possible, but I don't think either of us had the energy to stop it last night.

I can't believe it's Thursday of the 2nd week of our last half term already. Time is flying by, and the more it does, the more I miss you guys. I feel we've been robbed of spending the most fun time of the year together, and that's what frustrates me most about this virus.

As I always tell you, please know that your teacher is thinking about you, misses you and thinks the world of you.

Mr R-H

For maths today you will focus on solving 1 step algebraic equations.

Watch the video and then complete the different worksheets.

Check your answers after you have completed.

Mrs Walker's group A

Today you will be dividing by sharing.  Click on the file below to get your work.

Mrs Walker's group B

Today you will continue to learn about multiples.  You will have to answer some questions about the lowest common multiple.  The lowest common multiple is the lowest multiple shared by two or more numbers.  For example, the common multiples of 4 and 6 are 12, 24 and 36, but the lowest is 12.  So, 12 is the lowest common multiple of 4 and 6.

For Reading I'd like you to go through chapter 16. By this stage of the story, William has had to go home as his mother has said she's ill. Tom is worried about him and decides to go and search for him after a few weeks.

Your task is to find bits of evidence for both the countryside and inner City London.

How are they presented differently by the author.

What mood is put across to both.

Make a list of the evidence for each location, and then write a paragraph comparing both.

Read the Rosetta Stone extract and answer the questions.

For Writing, I'd like you to create a newspaper report, focusing on the skills mentioned in this link:

Watch the 2 videos and complete the 3 activities.

Ensure your punctuation is accurate.

Today you will be writing instructions on how to build an Egyptian house.  There is some information on the file below, but you will also have to do some research of your own.

We are looking at The Alps today some videos and activities to find out more about this fascinating mountain range.

We are looking at school and hobbies in French.
