Good Morning Children and Your Parents
How are you all this morning? We hope you are all keeping well and safe. How did you get on with making your rock pool? We would love to see some of your amazing art work, so please email us some pictures.

We only have one more school day left before we finish for the summer holidays. You must all be ready for a break!

Activity 1: Use a dictionary to choose the correct spelling of the following words.
Activity 2 – Find as many words as you can using the jumble of letters below. The person with the longest word wins. Who will you play against? Use a dictionary to check your spellings, though - they must be spelt correctly to count!

Today we are going describe a seaside holiday town in the United Kingdom.
Your first activity today is a seaside sorting activity:
Seaside Sort - Natural or Man-Made? Can you recall the difference between natural (physical) and man-made (human)? Can you give an example of a natural/man-made feature we might find at the seaside? Sort the natural and man-made features appropriately using the Natural or Man-Made Seaside Sorting Activity Sheet.
Where is St. Ives? We are going to explore a seaside town in the UK without actually going there! You will be exploring St. Ives in Cornwall in the South West of England.
Do you know where Cornwall is located? Have you heard of St Ives?
You will be able to locate St. Ives using the maps on the PowerPoint.
Did you find out that St. Ives is on the coast, on the southern most tip of England, and the fact it is in a bay?
What things do you think you might see if you visited St. Ives?
What things might be man-made? What might be natural?

Make notes and draw pictures of key points, places of interest/attractions and observations as you go using the St Ives Word Web Frame.
Plan a route around St. Ives using the Trip around St. Ives Activity Sheet. Your route should incorporate 6 points of interest, a title and a key.
