Good Morning Children and Your Parents
How are you all this morning? We hope you are all keeping well. How did you get on with your art work yesterday? Did you manage to collect some leaves? We would love you to share your art work and your acrostic poems.
This is the link if you would like to start your day with Joe Wicks PE:

Problems of the day:
I think it's time for us to get moving with Super Movers. When you are ready click on the link to play the video.
You should now be really great at identifying verbs and adjectives. Making great choices for these is really important when writing poems. Today’s poem uses both of these as well as similes.
Does your poem need any editing to improve it?
Can you add any alliteration?
Now that it’s finished, copy it our really neatly, remembering to start the new lines at the correct time.
(Your poem should have a title and then nine lines, split into 3 groups of 3.)
You can make your own Autumn border or use this one.
Lunch time: You must all be ready for lunch by now.
Here is the next part of the story. Let’s see if your predictions were correct. Please click this link and stop listening at 6.15.
Remember, you can pause the story at any time to answer the questions. Here is your task:
In topic today Miss Sykes is going to tell us about going on holiday to the Philippines which is a country in Asia that is near the equator.
Here is some information that she has put together for us on the slides.
Describe Miss Sykes holiday to the Philippines, using all the information from the slides to help you.
Extension Activity 1:
Imagine you are going on holiday to The Philippines. What will you pack to make sure you’re prepared for the weather? Draw and label what you will pack.
Extension Activity 2:
Sort the weather seasons into two groups. TRUE and FALSE.
Are you ready for another exciting story? Make sure that you are sitting comfortably.
Click on the video when you are ready.
We hope you've had a great day and thank you for all your hard work.
Please remind your grown ups to share your amazing work with us. We always look forward to receiving photographs.
