Thursday

Good morning 4A,

I hope you had a wonderful day yesterday. I spent my afternoon covering in the 5/6 classes, which I enjoyed. It is not the same as teaching you guys though!

Missing you all,

Miss Anwar x

Maths

Today, we are going to do an introduction to Roman Numerals.

Follow this guide to help your understanding

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zpdwxnb/articles/zcbvhcw

Then have a go at answer the questions below. Don't worry if you find this a bit tricky, we will pick this up after half term. There are two sheets for you to have a go at. There are no answers to these sheets - try your best as we are just doing a bit of practice today.

Reading

Continuing on with our text, Hidden Depths, this week, here are some more questions for you to have a go at.

English

I would like you to click this link and follow the lesson based on suffixes needed for the past and present tense. I noticed when marking your writing that some of you got this mixed up, so it will be useful practice.

Afternoon activities

Music

I thought it would be nice today to do some music.

I have attached a link to a video of the Song - You got a friend in me.

This song is performed using Makaton sign language. I would like you to watch the video and learn the moves. We will perform it together when we are all back in class.

I can't wait to see it. It will remind us of all the friends we have in class.

Art

This afternoon I want you to become artists. You are going to draw a still life image of a piece of fruit of your choice.

This task requires you to use your close observation skills to really look carefully at the piece of fruit.

Choose a piece from your house or use one of the photographs to copy.

I have added a picture and a powerpoint to give you some inspiration.
