Thursday 21st May 2020

Good morning 5/6AA.  How are you all today?  Did you enjoy the sunshine yesterday?  It was so hot.  I hope the weather stays like that today. Let's get on with some work.  Here are your tasks for today:

Maths

Click here to go to the BBC Bitesize lesson for today.  This lesson is about converting decimals into fractions.  There are two videos to watch and two worksheets to complete.  Make sure that you read all of the information as well.  You can access the worksheets on the BBC Bitesize website and I have also attached them below.

Reading

Read chapter one of Billionaire Boy (click on the file below) and then answer the questions at the end. This links with the writing task that you are going to do next.

Writing

Imagine that you and your family have won the lottery.  How great would that be?  You are going to write a newspaper report about your lottery win.  You could include an interview with yourself or your parents explaining how you felt when you found out that you had won and what you are going to spend the money on.  You need to include information about when you won the lottery (the date), where you bought your ticket, how much money you have won and any other information that you think is relevant.

You have already written a newspaper report for one of your other writing tasks, so you should be an expert by now.   If you click on the files below there are three examples to give you some ideas and help you with the layout.  There is also a checklist that I would like you to use.

Afternoon work

We are going to continue with RE. It looks like there is a lot of work to do but the tasks don't take very long to complete, so don't panic. Start with the lesson 2 file.  The files are in the order that you should complete them.  Have fun!
