Thursday 21st May
I'm writing this on Wednesday evening, with very sun burnt shoulders.
The weather has been incredible - like the height of summer. We played in the garden and ordered Dixon's Ice cream. Seth absolutely loved it.
I hope you all made the most of the sun and wore more sun cream then I did!
Missing you as always - have a great day.
For maths today I'd like you to focus on the white rose home learning. This week is based on decimals
https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-6/ Week 5 lesson 4.
Watch the video and then do the sheets that I have attached (they are no longer given on the website).
Afterwards, I'd like you to do more practice from this link: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z67r92p
For English today we have another Guided Reading from a non-fiction story (I'm not sure if many of you will be familiar with but its about a sweet shop and a toy shop so I'm sure you will enjoy it). Imagine your Dad is a pirate you have a vast amount of gold coins, what would you spend them on?
For English, it is the 2nd part of your letter writing.
This time it is the actual writing.
Today's final activity is one I think that will really interest you.
It's all about computing, and goes into detail about what makes a good video game, and how to create one: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z6n7xyc
