Good Morning Children and Your Parents
How are you all this morning? We hope you are all keeping well and safe. Did you all manage the hot weather yesterday? It’s hot today again, so keep yourself cool by staying indoors or playing in the shade. Remember to keep drinking as well as that will help to keep you cool.

Activity: – Write the verbs underneath the pictures and remember to add the es suffix. Then write a sentence for each of these verbs and remember the capital letters and full stops.

You have 2 minutes to answer as many Maths facts as you can. Each time you get one right you’ll drop a piece of fruit into your smoothie. When your time is up you’ll whizz your smoothie and make a tasty drink. How many can you answer in 2 minutes?

Today’s poetry focus is all about reading and performing.
These two words are homophones; they sound exactly the same (because of the silent w) but they have totally different meanings. What does each word mean?
Rap can actually have more than one meaning.
Can you think of two meanings of the word rap?
wrap – to cover
rap – to knock on something sharply
rap – a type of poem usually of African American origin, usually performed to music

The poem you’re going to read today is a rap, but it also includes the word ‘wrap’!
Its title is a play on words: ‘Rap up warm in winter!’
Read it through a few times until you can read it fluently.
