Thursday 26th March 2020

Good morning 5/6AA.  I hope you managed to make the most of the sunshine yesterday.  I went out into the garden where Ava and I planted some seeds.  We weren't very successful when we planted seeds last year but I'm hoping that the sunshine will help this batch.  Here are your tasks for today:

Maths

Go to whiterosemaths.com - home learning - year 5.  Then go to lesson 4 - understand thousandths.  Watch the video first then complete the worksheet by getting the activity.  Check your answers when you have finished.

Reading

If you have a garden or outside space, go and sit outside and read your book.  Explain to a member of your family what has happened in the story so far.  You can also tell them what you think will happen next.  If you don't have a garden or outside space, snuggle up on the sofa instead.

Writing

Read Rose and Kilu's story by clicking on the link underneath.  There is a task for you to complete at the end.

Topic / afternoon work

Do something active.  Play football in the garden, have a race with your brothers and/or sisters, play catch or do some gardening with your parents.  If you can't think of anything to do, you could try the Joe Wicks P.E lesson or have a go at the Shrek kids dance class with Oti Mabuse from Strictly Come Dancing.  Have fun.

If you want to do some computing, access Code for Life levels 19-28. This time you are working on loops and repetition.
