Good Morning Children and Your Parentslaugh

 

How are you all this morning? We hope you are all keeping well and safe. How did you get on with your art work yesterday? We would love to see some of your amazing art work, so please email us some pictures.

Some of you will have received your end of year school reports, please don’t’ worry if you haven’t as you will do very soon. We hope you and your parents are pleased with the reports and it would be lovely if they could share your comments with us via email. We shall look forward to hearing from you!

Phonics: Today’s phonics story is about “Puzzles in the Tunnels”. Today, we are learning to write sentences that contain el saying /l/.

 

Activity 1 - Look at the pictures and describe what is happening in detail. Remember to keep your writing beautiful and neat and don’t forget capital letters, finger spaces, commas and full stops.

 

 

Activity 2 – Look around your house and write a list of things you can see, then write some sentences containing the list.

Topic:

Today in topic we are going to think about what seaside holidays were like in the past by going through the photographs on the PowerPoint which show seaside towns and activities from the past. Discuss things that have changed overtime. For example: transport, clothes, buildings, food and activities. Talk about the differences in the photographs and what seaside holidays were like in Victorian times.

 

Activity 1- To sort the seaside photographs into past and present day using the sorting table. Children to then label the photographs with key features.

 

 

Activity 2 – Compare seaside holidays from past and present. Write about things that happened at the seaside in the past but do not happen now.
