Good morning

 

I hope you are all well and still doing your random acts of kindness - I haven't had any pictures of videos yet for the Facebook page.

 

Our first lesson this morning is Maths, we are going to the White Rose Home Learning. This is similar to yesterday, just subtraction rather than addition. Do not forget your place value and use the decimal point as your guide.

Summer Term – Week 2 (w/c 27th April) - Lesson 4 - Subtracting decimals with a different number of decimal places.

 

For Guided Reading we are going to look at Chapter 2 of 'Private Peaceful' - don't forget you can get the whole book online to read. https://fliphtml5.com/nbao/fomw/basic 

Read the chapter, answer the questions and text mark. Then find the meaning of any words you don't know. 

In English, we are continuing to look at Spag. Look at the questions, answer what you can and check you answers. Anything you are unsure about, find out more on BBC Bitesize - https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zhrrd2p.
Finally this afternoon, we are going to concentrate on Wellbeing and Mindfulness. Mr Herman has sent the teachers a message about the fantastic videos online offering PE activities and we all know getting moving is one of the best ways to improve our mood - that is why we used to go outside on the running track most afternoons. He has also suggested you spend time doing fun activities with your families like tig or going on a walk for your daily exercise. If you remember back to the beginning of the year we were luck enough to take part in the Paws B mindfulness sessions and there is a video on youtube by Seth one of the trainers with a reminder about this -

Now you all know I love to read and do art, these are definitely the things I use to make myself feel better. A good read sat in the sunshine or curled up on the sofa is my perfect way to relax at the end of the day. Many of you came to my Mindfulness Art club and I have popped some of these ideas below. 

Mrs Ahmed would like to know the kinds of things you do to relax and lift your mood, she wants you to help her put together a Newsletter for all the children at Fixby. So we need any of your hints and tips or photos and videos. So get thinking!
