Hello Year 4
We hope you are all well. All the teachers are back in school this week and that is why our web pages have changed slightly. We are all organising the classrooms and planning work for when more children come back. It has been a really busy few days and hopefully you will be impressed with the results when you are back in school. We are really missing you all and have missed your emails this week. We will still reply to all your messages so please keep sending them and letting us know what you are doing.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Love Mrs Martin and Miss Anwar.
Please see below for today's work.
Today's maths lesson will be: Lesson 4 - Calculate quantities
Here are the worksheets and answers:
4A Spelling Test
Please do your spelling test if you have not already done so. Here are the new spellings for 4A.
Have a go at this reading comprehension based on Stephen Hawking. The answers are on the back page.
In continuation from our work on Marshmallows, today you will be writing your own ending to the story. In the video, the monster becomes scary again once the Marshmallows run out. He chases the boy.... will he escape? There is a twist at the end! The boy escapes.
Can you think of your own ending to the story?
Watch the video to remind yourself of the story...
This afternoon, we would like you to complete some Learning for life based on age appropriate ratings for films and television programmes. There is an information powerpoint explaining each age rating and what is appropriate for each age. There is then an activity to complete where you write the definition of what each age rating means.
