Thursday 7th May
Happy Thursday 3/4M
It is the last day of the week as it is Bank Holiday tomorrow, so I won't be setting any work. We get to have a 3 day weekend. Yipppeeee!!!
I hope you all had a good day yesterday and hopefully got to enjoy some of the sunshine in your gardens or during your daily exercise time. I went for a lovely walk with Jacob and Barney, whilst poor Mr Martin was working upstairs. I spent all day working in my kitchen with the door open so that Barney could wander in and out.
Please keep those photos and emails coming though so I can see all the great things that you are doing. I am in school today, so I may not get chance to reply straight away but I will reply as soon as I can.
Please see below for today's work.
Today, I would like you to log onto Classroom Secrets and complete the following reading comprehensions. I have included the links below but you will need to sign in.
Year 3 - Fighting Fit
Year 4 - African Emergency
Have you read all of your AR books and completed the tests? Some of you have still not logged on. If you are having problems please let me know and I will help.
Today's SPAG task is based on pronouns and possessive pronouns.
I want you to work through the powerpoint, which will give you information but also complete the tasks set. (It says on a white board but just use your book or a sheet of paper.)
Pronouns and Possessive Pronouns
Use the links below to view the White Rose teaching videos. I have attached the worksheets below. (You can still get them on the White Rose site this week!)
Year 3 - Lesson 4 - Multiply and Divide by 3
Year 4 - Lesson 4 - Divide a 3 digit number by a 1 digit number
Don't forget to do at least 30 minutes of TT Rockstars too!!
Take a break for lunch. If the sun is shining you could even eat your lunch in the garden. I love having a picnic outdoors.
After lunch, we are going to continue with our VE day theme. I really want to see some photos of the work you have been doing. I did receive a super voice message from a certain person, who was able to recite the entire Phonetic Alphabet! You know who you are. Well done. Can anyone else manage to do that?
I thought you could have a bit of fun this afternoon. (I am in school today and I am going to ask the children in school to do this too!)
I would love to hear some of your motivational songs and see your version of the Lindy Hop. The task is outlined below.
VE Day Songs
Make sure you do your 30 minutes of physical activity today. (Hopefully your Lindy Hop will make most of that!)
Thought of the day:
What you do today can improve all of your tomorrows.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Love from Mrs Martin.
