Happy Thursday Year 3,
I hope you had a great Wednesday despite the rain. I spent the morning doing some more training in school. We were learning all about phonics and different sensory activities. It is great to learn new things, especially when they are going to benefit you children in the classroom.
In the afternoon, I did some transition meetings when I met with Miss Anwar and Mrs Garside and told them all about you in 3/4M. They are both really looking forward to having you in their classes. I am very jealous as I only got to have you for half a year!!
Have a super day.
I will speak to you tomorrow.
How quickly is the week going? I hope you are all having a great week.
Yesterday I had some training with the teachers and ETA's across school on Phonics, which is great to expand my knowledge. I then spent the afternoon in the Green Room with the Key Worker children, enjoying our time with the chickens, which Miss Day has brought in to visit.
Today will be a planning day with Mrs Martin, getting ready for September. We will be organising our maths lessons and planning what we will need to teach throughout the year to get you caught up after being off school for so long. Although, I am sure you will all do great in Year 4!
I hope to hear from you soon, by email.
Love from Miss North x
Today's maths lesson focuses on comparing numbers. Which is greater? Which is smaller?
Here is a reading comprehension based on a Mexican Bean Burger Recipe. Perhaps you can try following the recipe and make your own burger in the afternoon!
You have already discovered a new part of the island and created your own magical mountain.
Today, you are going to befriend a fantasy animal that will become your new adventure companion. A companion is someone who you spend a lot of time with, almost like a friend. You can choose any animal you would like and can give it special features e.g. magical powers.
We are going to plan our ideas for today, then we will be writing them out tomorrow.
Once you have thought about the animal you want to write about, fill out the planning sheet to get your ideas together.
You can either play out in the garden, go for a walk or have a go at this workout. It's up to you.
It's a 15 min workout. Teaches you how to get in shape with exercises. Maurice takes you through a beginning workout for kids of all ages, even teens and adults...
