Tuesday 12th January 2021

Good morning 3N and happy Tuesday.

Today is our last day of doing our online learning from this website as tomorrow we will be moving onto Teams. I have emailed all of your logins to your grownups, so if you haven't already, please try to log in and complete the practise activities.

Let's start with our Flashback Four:

Today you will be using < > = to compare 2 calculations. These will all be multiplication calculations and maybe even some divisions.

Watch the video below to help you, before completing the worksheet:

Read chapters 2 to 4 on the PowerPoint.

In today's reading activity, you must use the vocabulary found in the first part of our story and match it to its meaning. I have done one for you to help.

If you are unsure, miss it out and complete it at the end. You can use a dictionary or the internet to help you too.

Starter activity: Look at the picture. Talk to someone in your family or write a list to describe where everything is in the bedroom.

In today's writing work, you will looking at prepositions.

A preposition is a word that tells you where or when something is in relation to something else.

Examples of prepositions include words like after, before, on, under, inside and outside.

The house was on the hill beside a tree.

In this sentence 'on' and 'beside' are prepositions which show you exactly where the house was.

Have a look at the worksheet below. You have 4 different activities to complete. Read the instructions on each page carefully.

Today we are going to learn about an important event that happened in 1066 - the Battle of Hastings. I have attached an information PowerPoint - your first job is to read through it.

There are around 8 important events that happened during the Battle of Hastings!

Your task is to create a cartoon strip of these 8 important events on the template below:

Have a look through the PowerPoint for some ideas on what pictures you can draw. If you are finding it hard to write your own sentences, magpie from my examples above:

Have a go at one of these workouts that I have attached. One is a Harry Potter workout and the other is Avengers themed.

Have a lovely rest of your day and we'll speak tomorrow.

Remember: we are on Teams tomorrow.
