Tuesday 16th June

Good morning year 5

I spent yesterday with the key worker children in school again. We got to spend some time on the field because the weather has been nice. It is still very strange at school as there are so few children it is very quiet. I'm missing seeing you all and even your noise.

I found this online this morning, there are different activities all day long if you are interested in taking a look.

We have revision of percentages, fractions and decimals. If you want an alternative there is also revision of line graphs. I have also attached a challenge sheet but it has a challenge for each day of the week, so don't do them all at once.

Summer Term - Week 8 (w/c 15th June) - Lesson 2 - Percentages as fractions and decimals.

Mrs Walker's group A

Yesterday you learnt how to tell the time on the hour. Today you are going to learn how to tell the time when it is half past the hour.  Click here to watch a video that will help you and then answer the questions on the worksheet below.

Read the information about deforestation in the file below.  You are going to write a letter to the loggers to persuade them to stop destroying the rainforest.  Today you will write the introduction section of your letter.  In this section you need to explain why you are writing the letter.  There is an example to help you.

It is Father's Day this weekend so I have found a website with lots of ideas of things you could make for dads, grandads or uncles.

Finally, I have a science lesson on waste from BBC Bitesize.

Have fun and stay safe.
