Good morning 5/6AA. How are you all? Ava has been playing shops today so I am surrounded by pretend food and dolls. She has promised that she will tidy up when she has finished but I think I will probably have to clean up the mess. I hope you have a tidier area to do your work today.
Lets start shall we? Here are your tasks for today:
Click here to go to the BBC Bitesize lesson for today. It is about multiplying decimals by integers (a whole number). Read the information and then watch both the videos. Next you need to complete the two worksheets. You can access them from the website or you can click on the files below. Don't forget to check your work using the answer sheets when you have finished.
Read the third chapter of Five Children and It by clicking on the file below. There is a link at the top of the file that will take you to an audio version that you can listen to, or you can click here. When you have read the chapter answer the questions at the end.
Today you are going to create a mythical creature. You can use the reading task that you have just completed to help. You can also think about mythical creatures that you have read about in other books. Here are some examples:
Mrs Walker's group A
Click on the file below to get your work for today. You need to look at the coins and then decide which coins you can use to make the amount.
Mrs Walker's group B
Today I would like you to practice your 6 times table. Click here to go to a website that has lots of activities that will help you. You can scroll down to get more activities. Try to do all of them if you can.
Mrs Walker's A and B groups
Read the story about the baby blackbird and then answer the questions at the end.
Today I would like you to write a book report. You need to think about a book that you have read recently. Then you need to click on the file below and fill it in. You will have to explain:
- the genre of the book (horror, sci-fi, fantasy, history and so on)
- who the author is
- the main characters
- the setting (where does most of the story take place)
- a summary of the plot (what happens)
- which part you like the best.
This afternoon I would like you to continue with the learning for life work that we started last week. Click on the PowerPoint presentation below and go to slide 8. You will also need the resource 3 file below. Once you have finished that, go through slides 9,10 and 11.
