Good morning 1S! laugh

How are you feeling today? Do you remember in class we had our feelings chart, and it was ok to feel up and down? I am sometimes in the middle of the chart, sometimes I’m at the top and sometimes I’m right at the bottom! But it is ok to feel like that. So I hope you have been looking after yourselves, and your family. It's been lovely to see what you have been up to, your pictures always make me smile!

Here is the link if you would like to start your day with Joe Wicks PE:

Here are some activities to complete today:

Phase 5 Alternative Spellings /oo/. You will need to log in to access this game.

Username: march20

Password: home

Phase 5

Then scroll down to ‘Phase 5c Interactive Resources - Weeks 8-30’ and find ‘Alternative Spellings /oo/’.

In ‘Phoneme Spotter’ you need to see how many different graphemes you can find for the /oo/ phoneme- you could list the words. In ‘Word Sort’ you need to read the word, then sort it to the grapheme used.

Remember, you need to be able to apply these different spellings in different words.

Please continue to practise your ‘18.05.20 Spellings’ for our test after half-term.

Start each day with a page from the Flashbacks. They're saved in the ‘Maths’ Folder. Remember, this will consolidate what we have already learnt! You should be on Week 7 Day 2 today. Did you get 4/4 correct?

Warm up: Jack has 16 cars. Paige has 14 cars. Jim has 20 cars.

How many cars do they have altogether?

How has the most amount of cars?

Who has the least amount of cars?

Can you draw each amount of cars using 10s and 1s? Remember, we have used a stick to represent 10s, and stones to represent 1s.

Access the Home Learning Lesson 2 - ‘Lesson 2 - Measure length’ from White Rose Maths. We have already covered some length and height in school so you should be fairly confident with this.

1) Click this link

2) Click Summer Term- Week 5 (w/c 18th May). Click to play the video Lesson 2 - Measure length.

3) Here is your activity. If you can’t print this off, could you write your answers down on a piece of paper?

4) Here are the answers. Can somebody mark this for you?

Here is a problem to finish with:

Look through this Space Suits PowerPoint and find out the importance of Space Suits. I would like you to make your own notes today.

I'm sure you are ready for some lunch now!

Here is the next part of the story. Remember, there is no right or wrong answer, it needs to be your own opinion.

How do you think this story is going to end? Make your predictions. Have there been any clues in the story which make you think that will happen?

We have now finished our work on materials. Test yourself and have a go at this materials quiz.

How many out of 8 did you get?

I am sure you now know lots about materials so I would like you to create an information booklet! Here is the template:

Here are some challenge cards you could also complete. Make sure that you add clear labels to any of your designs - and remember to keep your writing horizontal. Use a ruler if straight lines are needed, too.

Have a great day! laugh
