Tuesday 21st April

Good morning 3/4M

I hope you all had a good day yesterday and worked hard. I emailed your grown ups and have already received replies from some of you. It was lovely to see the photographs of the things that you have been getting up to. I look forward to hearing from more of you over the next few days.

I found it hard getting back into a routine yesterday, but I am sure that it will be much easier today now we have got day one over with. I had to work hard to persuade Jacob to do his work and he kept complaining about it.  I reminded him that he needs to do the work that his teacher has set so that he does not get behind. Please be kind to your grown ups, it is hard for them as they have to help you and do their own job too.

I hope you enjoyed the Stop Motion animation tasks yesterday, we will continue to work on this project today.

Please see the work for today below:

Reading:

Reading comprehension - Pet Care of a Bearded Dragon. Please complete the two star version. (pages 8-12) The answers are there for you to mark after you have completed it on page 13.

You can either ask a grown up to print these pages for you or write the answers in your exercise book. (You don't need to copy the questions)

SPAG:

Please complete SPAG Mat 4. I will post the answers for this tomorrow.

Can you also click on the link to BBC Bitesize. I would like you to watch the videos and complete the activities for the 'What is a Verb' and 'What is an adverb' section.

Maths:

As usual please click on the White Rose links and complete the activities listed below:

Year 3: Lesson 2 - Equivalent Fractions

Year 4: Lesson 2 - Write Decimals

Don't forget to log into TT Rockstars as well.

Take a break and have a healthy lunch - I have heard that some of you are helping in the kitchen. This is a great idea, as it is a good chance to learn new skills for the future. I can't wait to sample some of the delicious goodies I have seen when we return to school. So keep practising!

After lunch I would like you to work on the next set of activities related to our Stop Motion Animation task. Today you are going to plan your own story board. You can make these as detailed and exciting as you like. There is a video to help show you what to do.

I would also like you to ensure that you do some PE today. You may choose to start with Joe Wicks (I need to get back into this!) Or I have added a link to a PE site which has lots of ideas for family activities so you may wish to look on there. You could even just kick a ball around in your garden if you have the space. Just be active. It is good for your body and your mind. Make sure you spend at least 30 minutes doing something active.

I have also included the link to a website called Out of the Ark. This website has released free songs with activities. These are fun and you can sing and be active. Have a go. If you are brave you can send me a video of your performances.

Remember to ask your grown ups if you can email me with photos and stories of what you have been doing.

Speak to you tomorrow.

Love  Mrs Martin
