Tuesday 23rd June

Happy Tuesday Year 3,

I hope you are all well and enjoyed the sunshine yesterday. I didn't get to see much of it as I was inside at school doing lots more planning.

We are going to have some lovely weather this week, so try to spend as much time as you can outside enjoying the sunshine. I certainly will be going in my garden when I get home after school.

Please keep sending me your emails updating me about what you have been doing as I love to see your pictures and hear your news.

Speak to you tomorrow.

Love from

Mrs Martin

Happy Tuesday!

As Mrs Martin said, the weather is supposed to be amazing this week. We even heard on the radio that it will be about 30 degrees in some places in England!
The grownups in school will be busy working during the day, but we will definitely be spending our free time in the sunshine in our gardens or on walks.

I can’t wait to spend some time in the garden with an ice-cream!

Keep working hard, we’re on the home-stretch now with less than 4 weeks of school until the summer holidays. You have all worked so amazingly hard and all the grownups at Fixby are so proud of you!

Keep sending your emails, especially with your entries for the Fixby Family newsletter!
Speak tomorrow.

Love from Miss North x

SPaG/ Writing

We will be using our nonsense words from yesterday to write our nonsense poems.

You do not need to use them all. Choose your favourite ones and the ones that sound the best together.

Top tip!

You could use ‘On the Ning Nang Nong’ as inspiration. Try starting your lines with similar phrases, such as:

  • On the...
  • Where the...
  • And the...
  • All the...

Today's reading activity is about James and the Giant Peach. Read through the text and answer the questions in your exercise book or on the sheet.
