Tuesday 2nd June 2020
Good morning 2S,
I hope you enjoyed your first day back yesterday. I know that you will continue to work hard during this term! Please remember to share any work and pictures with me - I will add them to our website so that your friends can see them, too.
This is the link if you would like to start with a Joe Wicks workout: https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1
Here are your activities to complete today:
This week's spellings are the days of the week and the months of the year.
Here is a song all about the days of the week to get you warmed up this morning:
Some people consider that Sunday is the first day of the week whereas others say that Monday is the first day of the week. It doesn't really matter as long as you know the order.
Whilst you're doing these Bitesize Activities, think carefully about how to spell each day and remember that they always start with a capital letter.
Here are the days of the week, but all of the vowels are missing.
Can you add the correct vowels in?
S _ n d _ y
M _ n d _ y
T _ _ s d _ y
W _ d n _ s d _ y
T h _ r s d _ y
F r _ d _ y
S _ t _ r d _ y
Go back on to the video to check them.
Today we are continuing with poetry, can you remember which season we are starting with?
Our next poem is called ‘Hello to Spring’.
Here's today's Flashback:
When you've watched the video, you can do some sharing of your own. Use your toys or maybe some food from the kitchen. You can share it between the people in your family or you could use your teddies.
Maybe you could send me a video...
Yesterday, you made some predictions about our new book: The Smeds and The Smoos.
We are now going to listen to the first part of the story. Please click this link and stop listening at 1.15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKjjFh7dQsg
We will listen to more parts of the story each day this week. You can pause the story at any time to answer the questions. Here is your task:
Watch these videos and decide which season you think it is:
Your task is to match the months to each picture.
If you start with December, January and February on the top row, you will have the three winter months together.
Spring: March, April and May
Summer: June, July and August
Autumn: September, October and November
I hope you've had a great day.
I'll be back tomorrow with some more work and this will include Art - yippee!
P.s. Mrs Rathor says 'Hi' as she's in school with me today.
