Guided Reading

Here's the front cover from our new book. Study it carefully and look at the details in the picture. You will then have some questions to answer.

Here's the blurb from the back of the book:

P.E.

Our indoor P.E. work this term is Dance based upon the Great Fire of London. Don't worry, you can still do this at home. Maybe you can get little brothers and sisters involved too.

All you will need to do is play this music file and follow the instructions:

Evaluation time:

What did you like?

Was there anything that you disliked?

How did the dancing make you feel?

Can you describe your dance to someone in your family?

Next week, we'll look at being more inventive with the dance, giving you an opportunity to devise your own movements instead of just following the instructions.

Reading books

I hope you've already read the reading book that you took home before the holidays. If not, please read it to an adult now.

Now would also be a great time to sort out the books that you have at home. Make a pile of the books that you are going to read. Some may be old favourites, whilst some may be ones that you have never read before. If you've got older brothers and sisters, maybe you can raid their collections, too!

Thank you for all your hard work today! We would love to see your posters. Take a photo on a parent's phone and send it to me by email at farha.ahmad@kirkleeseducation.uk

We could put some of your work on this website - how great would that be!?

We'll be back tomorrow with some more tasks for you!

Mrs Ahmad! smiley
