Tuesday 5th May

As-salamu alaykum, hope you're all doing well.

I've been thinking about all of you who may have been fasting. I have so much respect for all of you who can do this, it must take such determination and dedication.

I spent Monday working, and doing my exercise. I really enjoyed my run, it was tough but I powered through and felt good about myself for the rest of the day. Like I said, that's the power of exercise! Make sure you are doing yours.

Just a short message today as I'm already busy - I'll write a longer one tomorrow.

Miss you as always - fingers crossed we hear something soon!

Mr R-H

For maths today I'd like you to focus on the white rose home learning. It's based on fractions and going over some work we've done previously in the year. Fractions play such a big part of life in year 6, so it's vital you are really secure with these.

https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-6/ Week 3 lesson 2.

Watch the video, do the sheets, then mark your answers.

For Guided Reading we are keeping working on the WW2 theme. Today it is Winston Churchill, who was certainly an inspiring leader. Answers are on the final page.
For English we are following on from yesterdays work on settings. We are now going to look at how to effectively incorporate personification. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zbd7mfr
We are also going to continue working on the VE day activities, I have attached it again today, chose a different activity to do today. Don't forget to send me an email through with the work you produce.
Finally today, Mrs Allen has also updated the website with a PE folder, inside is a document with a whole list of activities you can do at home, some which require little or no equipment. If you are looking for something fun to do why not take a look.
