Wednesday 1st April
I hope you are all ok and have been working hard but also spending quality time with your family. I have had a really busy day today. I have completed the spellings for this year with all the missing word sheets and have been doing some online learning for reading as well.
I had to work hard to encourage Jacob to do his work today as he is finding it tricky whilst he is at home. I know it is hard but it is important to try and keep up with your school work. I keep trying to motivate him, as I am sure your grown ups are doing too. Please keep sending me your pictures and stories of what you are up to as it is great to hear from you all. We went for a walk today but we missed our Joe Wick PE, I hope that we will pick this up again tomorrow.
Here is your work for Wednesday:
Year 3 - Lesson 3 - Fractions of a set of objects
Year 4 - Lesson 3 - Hundredths as decimals
Please keep up with the TT rockstars as this is really good practise. You can also access the maths games on Classroom Secrets.
Reading: Please spend at least 30 minutes today reading your AR book and completing a quiz if you have one to do. Also choose one of the reading tasks from the reading grid. You can do this on your AR book or on a book of your choice.
Log into classroom secrets and complete the following:
Year 3 - Spring Revision Set 1
Year 4 - Recognising Speech
Continue with your blog describing your home learning experiences. Remember, these could be historical documents of the future.
Enjoy a healthy lunch and a break with your family.
This afternoon, I would like you to have a go at becoming a musician and writing a song or a rap. In your lyrics I would like you to focus on what is important during the Corona Virus. You may decide to do a song about being kind to one another or you may wish to sing about washing your hands or staying indoors. You can use a range of instruments including body percussion or home made drums and percussion. If you can get your grown ups to record your song and send them to me that would be amazing. Jacob and I will have a go and post ours on line too.
Mrs Buttery has set you all a Computing challenge. Check out the Computing folder to see what she has in store for you.
I look forward to hearing from you all.
Love from Mrs Martin
