Wednesday 20th May 2020
Good morning 5/6AA. How are you all? It's Wednesday so that means that we are going to start our day with some singing. Click here to go to the Out of the Ark website. Choose one of the songs and sing along. If you are feeling that your vocal chords need a bit more exercising, then sing along to some more songs.
Here are your tasks for today:
Click here to the BBC Bitesize lesson for today. It is all about dividing decimals by integers. Can you remember what an integer is? It is just another way of saying a whole number. Read the information, watch both the videos and then complete the two worksheets. You can access the worksheets from the BBC Bitesize website or by clicking on the files below.
Read the extract from chapter 6 of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Then answer the questions. There is a link at the top of the page that will take you to a video on Youtube where the whole chapter is read to you. If you do watch the video, I would like you to follow using the text. Click here to take you to the video.
For your writing task today you are going to write a biography of Harry Potter. A biography is an account of a person's life written by someone else. You can use the reading task from today to get some information. Many of you have read the Harry Potter books so you will already know some facts. You can also use the internet.
Below you will find some examples of biographies you help you. You can use the same format of these examples or you can use your own. There is also a checklist. Make sure that you include all of the features that are on the checklist. Don't forget to read your biography when you have finished to check for punctuation and spelling mistakes and to ensure that it makes sense.
