Good Morning Class 1/2A and Parents:  smiley

 

I hope you are all well, how did you get on with your work. Some children have sent pictures of the work they did yesterday, which was really good to see!! Please feel free to send me pictures of the work you have completed because it will be lovely to see.

How was the singing did you enjoy the learning the, Exercise Song’ and did you the music activity?

I had a very busy day planning school work for the website and then I helped my Mum with cleaning the cooker and oven. It was a big job and needed a lot of scrubbing power. I felt as if I had done another Joe Wicks workout.

Guided Reading:

How did you get on with your Reading comprehension yesterday? Check the answers and see how you did.

 

 

Lunch time:

Am sure you are ready for some lunch.

 

Guided Reading Task:

Practice reading the text again using fluency and expression.

 

 

Today I would like you to complete a SPaG task using the guided reading text.

 

 

Topic:

Did you guess what today's topic task was going to be?

Yes, I'd like you to design and make a rocket!

You could make one that will fit in the palm of your hand or one that is as long as your arm. If you're really up for a challenge, you could make a fancy dress outfit and transform yourself into a space rocket!

What will you use for the body tube?

How will you give your space rocket a nose?

What will you create the fins from?

How will you make it look as if there are flames coming from the exhaust?

Have a good look around at home. Check out the recycling - that's always a great place to look for things for projects like this.

 

First, complete a design sheet. You will need to do a labelled drawing. Name the parts and show what they will be made from. Also give details of how you will attach the parts together. You might want to give sizes too.
