For maths today I'd like you to focus on the white rose home learning. It's continuing our work on angles. If you haven't done the lessons from before the holidays - you MUST go back and watch the videos. Watch the video for Summer Term week 1 Lesson 3 https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-6/, then do the worksheets and check the answers. This is on the angles of a triangle, like yesterday,  but is more complicated.

I would also like you to complete this arithmetic paper - it's a long time since we've done one of these - so think carefully! I will post the answers tomorrow.

For Guided Reading today, I would like you to look at another newspaper article. This one is a bit of fun, some of you might get some inspiration for a bit of free writing or drawing if you do, I want to see it. But I don't want to give too much away, so have a read and answer the questions.

For English, we are going to carry on with some newspaper article skills. So one of the key skills is to know the difference between Fact and Opinion, reporters can get in a lot of trouble it they print the wrong information. So complete the worksheet and think about what facts you could include in your newspaper article.

Yesterday you should have done your own hot-seating. From the answers you have written, I'd like you to go through and turn these into speech and quotes. Watch the following link which is a video of the rules first.

For your afternoon work we are going to focus on PE. Ideally I'd like you to do this outdoors, but if that's not possible then indoors is fine.

Try and do the following: 20 press ups, 30 sit-ups, 20 burpees, the plank for a minute.

Take 10 minutes break, then do the following: 25 press ups, 35 sit-ups, 25 burpees, the plank for a minute and a half.

I can't find a song of the day that I like for today, so please just imagine me singing instead!

The rest of your PE lesson is to do something fun. It can be like what Maisie did yesterday, or maybe some kick-ups, bowling a ball etc. It would be great if you took videos of these and I could share them on this page. Remember to email them to me at ben.raven-hill@kirkleeseducation.uk

Remember, when you are feeling down, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to spend a huge amount of time with family and have some fun. Make the most of it!
