Happy Wednesday 3N!
How are you all doing? I'm missing you all so much. It is so lovely to hear from you by email and phone call. Please keep me updated with how you're all doing!
Yesterday, I had a very busy day as I was starting to write your reports. It's so difficult writing about you all when I can't see you. This is my first time ever writing end of year reports as a teacher, and even harder when we don't get to spend time together.
I am really hoping we are together soon so that I can add some extra comments about how hard you have worked over the last few weeks.
Here is today's work. Scroll down to see your daily afternoon work. Make sure that you click your groups folder to do the correct work.
If you work with Miss Johnson, please use the work from the folder below:
My group will have watched this video for Guided Reading, so Mrs Buttery's and Miss Johnson's group will need to watch the video linked below, called Taking Flight.
You are going to put yourself in the shoes of Tony and write his diary entry for the day he has spent at grandad's house.
Make sure you write using informal language and explain how he was feeling at each part of the day.
Think how he would be feeling at these points of the story:
Travelling in the car. Jumping out of the plane.
Dad leaving him with Grandad. Seeing the Aliens.
Sat in the garage. Dad arriving back.
Spotting the photo. Going out on the cart with dad.
Grandad seeing him on the floor.
Grandad taking him out on the cart.
Spotting the monkeys.
Flying in the plane.
Here's how you could start:
You would not believe how crazy my day has been! It started off like any normal day when...
This afternoon I would like you to have a go at a science experiment. I have attached an experiment that Mrs Martin completed with Jacob. See the picture of Jacob's bridge. If you have some eggs at home, ask a grown up if you can try this.
Alternatively, have a look through the Science Sparks Website and let me know which experiment you had a go at. Always ask a grown up before you begin.
Song of the day
As always; stay safe, keep smiling and we'll see you soon!
