Happy Wednesday 3/4M

 

I hope you are all well today and enjoyed completing yesterdays tasks. I received some of your Magic Tree, stories via email and they were superb. Keep sending them in.

 

Did anyone manage to do the egg shell challenge? If so how tall was your bridge?

 

I have been working hard beginning to write your reports. It is even harder than usual this year, as I am not with you right now. I am really hoping we are together soon so that I can add some extra comments about how much you have progressed over this last few weeks.

We are going to watch a video today which will be the stimulus for our reading and writing work. 

 

Watch the video on the link provided and then open the document which provides you with details of the tasks you need to complete.

You need to log onto White Rose and complete the following activities:

 

Year 3 - Lesson 3 - Problem Solving

Year 4 - Lesson 3 -  Pounds and Pence

 

Don't forget 30 minutes of TT Rockstars - I can see who is doing this and who is not logging on. 

Take a break for lunch. Have you been helping out in the kitchen? It is a good time to practise these DT skills. Can you make a sandwich or a cup of tea? (Be careful with boiling water and ask a grown up first.)

 

After lunch I would like you to do some work based on healthy eating. I have attached a powerpoint for you to look at, which outlines what we need for a balanced diet. 

 

Then I would like you to design your own healthy meal using the template provided. I have also attached a food diary so that you can record what you eat this week to check if you are making good choices. 

 

 

Finally, as we are focusing on staying healthy I would like you to be active for 30 minutes. Again choose your favourite activity, either in the house or garden. 

 

I have also attached a link to a mindfulness podcast created by Pennine Sports Alliance. These are useful to help us relax and keep our minds healthy as well as our bodies.
