Good morning! I hope you're all well.
Let's start our morning off with some time table practice. I have attached some questions below to get you started. These are on your 2x, 4x and 8x tables. Remember, you can use your 2's to help you with you 4s and 8s.
Today we will be learning about the Battle of Stamford Bridge, which will allow us to dig deeper when we start our new story. This background information will help us understand the vocabulary in the text also.
Have a read of the information below and then answer the following 5 questions.
Let's start with our Flashback 4.
Today you will be practising adding two 3-digit numbers, like yesterday, but with 1 or more exchanges. This means that you need to be especially careful when adding your numbers, and 'check your bottom'!
Watch the video below to help you and then have a go at the questions on the sheet linked below. I have also attached the answers to yesterdays worksheet so that you or a grownup can mark your maths work.
Aut3.7.5 - Add two 3-digit numbers - crossing 10 or 100.mp4
Complete the two worksheets below, all about homophones. I have attached the answers below also.
Today we will be exploring what life was like in the Norman times. Let's start by watching this short video to find out more.
Using the information from the slides above, can you decide which person would have said each statement (lords, knights, king or peasants) and circle it in pencil.
Like always, make sure you are practising your spellings from yesterday, and reading any books that you have at home.
I hope you all have a lovely day, and I'll speak to you tomorrow.
Love from Miss North
