Wednesday 6th May 2020

Good morning 4A,

I am writing this message at 10 minutes past midnight as I am finding it impossible to sleep - I have eaten far too much at iftar (evening meal when you break your fast). I made lasagne for my family and I also made chocolate sponge with chocolate custard. My fasts are going well it is just the lack of sleep which is hard. How are your fasts going? I know some of you are doing half days, which I am really proud of you for doing.

I’ll speak to you tomorrow

Take care x

PE

Start your day off by doing some sort of PE - it can be following a Joe Wickes workout https://www.youtube.com/thebodycoachtv or you can do something else - skipping, running, riding your bike, hopscotch, football, anything!

Maths

White Rose Maths have changed the way that they are providing their home learning material. We had started our Money topic but White Rose Maths encourage home learning to focus on revisiting things we have learnt earlier on in the year.

Today's lesson will be -  Lesson 3  Divide 2 digit numbers by 1 digit numbers

  • Watch the video tutorial
  • Complete the worksheet
  • Self mark your answers.

SPaG

This week, we will be practicing our use of apostrophes as they are one of the Year 4 objectives.

Have a go at this activity:

It's spelling test day! Ask a sibling or a grown up to test you! I wonder who will get 10 out of 10 today?!

Here are next week's spellings to learn for the test on Wednesday 13th May 2020

Reading

I have attached a Year 4 reading assessment booklet for you do to. We will focus on one text per day. Read the text then answer the questions. The final text will be "Teeth". Read the text thoroughly before answering the questions. You should have completed the assessment by now, so you can mark your answers.

Afternoon

This afternoon, spend some time on TT Rockstars. We need to keep practicing our times tables so that when we’re back at school, we’re confident with them. It’s a really important part of Year 4.
