Good morning 1S! laugh

How are you feeling today? I hope you have woken up feeling refreshed and ready to learn. Did you manage to do an act of kindness last week? Will you do one this week? I designed a mug online, with pictures of me and my mum on, and sent it to her in the post. It made her smile lots!

Well done if you have managed to fingerspell you name, using British Sign Language. I have enjoyed watching your videos.

There are just two days left of school work this week as it's the special bank holiday on Friday. Here are some activities to complete today:

Phonics

Phase 5 Sentences 5b. You will need to log in to access this game. https://new.phonicsplay.co.uk/

Username: march20

Password: home

Click:

Resources

Phase 5

Then scroll down to ‘Phase 5b Interactive Resources - Weeks 5-7’ and find ‘Sentences’.

You are going to read some sentences using alternative pronunciations of graphemes. Remember, this means that some of the sounds are pronounced differently in different words. I would like you to read the sentences under ‘Week 5’ and ‘Week 6’ today.

Please continue to practise your ‘04.05.20 Spellings’ for our test next week.

Maths

Start each day with a page from the Flashbacks. They're saved in the ‘Maths’ Folder. Remember, this will consolidate what we have already learnt! You should be on Week 5 Day 3 today. Did you get 4/4 correct?

Warm up: Can you write the numerals to 50, like on a number square?

4) Click 'Get the answers'. Can somebody mark this for you?

Here is a problem to finish with:

English

How did you get on with your postcard? Any that I receive will be added to the photos and videos folder.

Here's one of my favourite pictures from the Bob - the Man in the Moon story:

Re-read the story to remind yourself what is happening here.

Here is your task:

I'm sure you are ready for some lunch now!

Reading

Today's Reading task is linked to V.E. Day and comes in three different levels with answers:

David Walliams is also reading a story each day. Here is the link:

Special work for V.E. Day

Each afternoon this week, I would like you to choose an activity (or more than one if you wish) from this grid. If you click on the underlined links they will take you to recipes, code information, dance instructions and much more. What will you choose to do? I can't wait to find out. Let me know through emails, photographs or videos. Have fun!

If we were at school today, we would have been doing P.E. Can you fit in some extra exercise today? Follow this link for some games: https://www.fixby.org/pe/

Have a lovely day! laugh
