Wednesday 6th May

Welcome to Wednesday 3/4M

I hope you are all well and had a good day yesterday. I had a good day working with Jacob and planning your work. I didn't receive many emails yesterday, so please ask your grown ups if you can send me photos and examples of your work. I love to see them and I want more to add to our class photos page on the website.

Did any of you see Mrs Murtza's online cooking demonstration? - it was on the Fixby Facebook page. It would be great to hear if any of you have had a go at this. I think I am going to try it out at the weekend. I will let you know how it goes. It makes me hungry thinking about it.

See below for today's work.

Reading:

For today's reading tasks I have chosen two different activities. They are quite short so you can do them both.

There is a short text about How Rome Began and retrieval activity which involves matching up the chopped up sentences.

There is then a poem called Home Sweet Home and some questions to answers.

Links to both are below.

Writing:

Today, I want you to be creative and use the image I have provided to write a story. I have included some information to help you get started.

I look forward to reading these so please ask you grown ups to email a copy to me.

Jurassic Story

Maths:

Watch the White Rose videos using the links below and then complete the worksheet activities.

Year 3 - Lesson 3 - Subtract Money

Year 4 - Lesson 3 - Divide 2 digit by 1 digit

Remember 30 minutes of TT Rockstars. I can see some of you are making super progress.

Take a break for lunch.

Do something that you enjoy and spend some time with your family.

After lunch, we are going to continue doing some work related to VE day.

I would like you to spend some time learning about Winston Churchill and what his role was.

I have added the documents from Twinkl and a link to the Ducksters site as the links on the photo do not work. You don't have to use the writing frame if you would prefer to create your own layout.

Winston Churchill

Don't forget to spend at least 30 minutes today doing something active. I have attached a booklet which gives lots of different playground games, many of these you could recreate in your garden.

If you prefer to work inside, try using one of the you tube fitness videos such as Joe Wicks PE.

Healthy body, healthy mind so stay active.

Thought of the day:

Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.

Keep Smiling

Love Mrs Martin
